Job Title: Assistant Director
Department: Corporate Donor Services
Reports to: Director, Corporate Donor Services
FLSA Status: EXEMPT
Summary:
The Assistant Director, Corporate Donor Services manages team operations and people management and development for the Corporate Donor Services team at CAF America. The position provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team to develop skills in relationship management and facilitating corporate philanthropy grantmaking programs. The Assistant Director manages Corporate Donor Services Associates & Officers who manage their own portfolio of corporate clients. The Assistant Director maintains expertise in CAF America services, CSR trends, international grantmaking, and donor advised fund regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remotely manage a team of Donor Services Associates & Officers who maintain their own portfolio of Corporate Services clients.
- Lead the hiring, training, management, and professional development of Corporate Services team members.
- Develop and monitor team performance targets and ensure alignment to the organization’s strategic goals.
- Work with the Director, Corporate Services, and other Corporate Donor Services leadership to set team priorities and departmental goals.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with other teams to enhance the customer experience for Corporate clients and champion customer success for Corporate clients.
- Oversee fund and donor client management by the Corporate Services team, including prospecting calls with the Business Development team, onboarding of new clients, attending conferences, and leading strategic client meetings or onsite visits (up to 10% travel time).
- Leads operations projects for the Donor Services department in conjunction with other Assistant Directors on Donor Services.
- Provides ongoing guidance to the Director, Corporate Services, to improve performance and quality assurance of Corporate Services client relationships.
- Maintains expertise in DAF and international grantmaking regulations, best practices in CSR, corporate giving software and grants management systems, and corporate philanthropy.
Supervisory Requirements:
- This position manages a team of direct reports, with the potential to grow the team in future years and manage team leads to take on some of the direct report management

- 3+ years of management experience

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university highly desired; and four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Customer Service, CSR, Corporate Philanthropy, or other client-facing role in Community Foundations, Fundraising, or a related industry strongly preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Step Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering from CLT International (in office)
