Position Summary
Meals on Wheels America seeks a collaborative, detail-oriented Creative Designer & Coordinator to design brand collateral and oversee content management and workflow for the Creative unit within the Marketing department. Reporting to the Creative Director, Marketing, and working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Communications, Development, and Membership, this position manages design, content, and project operations to ensure systems perform efficiently and objectives are achieved.
This Arlington, VA-based position is flexible hybrid, with no weekly in-office requirement, but the ability to visit the office as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design
- Design print-based and digital marketing collateral that aligns with brand standards, including web ads, reports, content updates, email blasts, and social media graphics.
- Collaborate with creative designers, team members, and cross-departmental partners to deliver cohesive marketing initiatives.
- Manage marketing partner support, including asset provision and Digital Asset Mangement (DAM – Brandfolder) system management.
- Develop and improve templates for the creative team, internal units (e.g., social media), business partners, and brand adopters (members).
Content
- Manage and organize content, including Brandfolder assets, brand guidelines, briefs, photos, videos, and legal releases.
- Track down assets and approvals, traffic finished assets to agencies, business partners, and the Brandfolder.
Coordination
- Maintain and improve creative service operations, including work management applications such as Monday.com.
- Coordinate ordering, shipping, printing, invoice payments, and support RFP processes for marketing materials and events.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency across creative and marketing workflows.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Marketing and Communications department.
Qualifications or Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience in an in-house design team or agency in design/production/project management, or 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects).
- Ability to learn and manage work management software applications (e.g., Monday.com).
- Demonstrated experience establishing and implementing efficient work processes with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences.
- Sound, independent judgment to anticipate and escalate issues, including project blockers, technical risks, and team dynamics.
- Effective listener and collaborator committed to stakeholder satisfaction.
