Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales who can successfully secure high-value customer deals, manage the sales team, and contribute to FundMiner’s overall sales strategy and approach.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Develop and execute on a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets. Support the company, as it grows, on projects and initiatives relevant to the health and growth of sales.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy: Collaborate closely with marketing and directly lead the business development team to ensure the continuous cultivation of a robust pipeline of potential new business.
  • Customer Relationships: Build relationships with prospective customers, including by participating in virtual and in-person networking events that are relevant to FundMiner’s target market.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and support the Sales team members to hit targets and increase performance against KPIs. Set ambitious but achievable KPIs for Sales team members. Track sales team’s performance against quota and ensure there is proper pipeline coverage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment and drive sales efforts.
  • Sales Operations: Identify gaps or areas for improvement in sales-related processes and direct the execution of collaborative solutions to address them. Monitor key performance metrics and adjust strategy as needed. Provide analysis and reporting data to the Leadership team to inform sales projections and budgeting.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to expand your knowledge and strategic outlook. Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Technology: Easily and efficiently navigate Microsoft Office suite, Asana, HubSpot, and LinkedIn to reach out to and track interactions with potential customers, keeping meticulous and diligent notes with next steps in mind.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in a SaaS sales role.
  • Background or experience in the fundraising/advancement industry, fund management, or related field.
  • Background in the SaaS sales industry
  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales role, with experience closing 7+ figures, annually, in total team deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in managing prospective clients and sales activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, with an exemplary professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage client interactions and sales processes.

Work Environment & Accommodations

This is a remote position. As a small but mighty (and quickly growing!) team, we’re not based in central office space but will work with you to ensure you have a suitable setup and equipment to work from remotely.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required for this role, anywhere between 5-25% of the time.

Salary & Compensation

We believe in transparency and equitable compensation. The base salary for this role is $90,000 – 100,000 base salary. On-Target-Earnings (OTE) is $185,000 – 195,000, with uncapped commission potential.
