Overview

SD Project is a social work and cultural exchange project that works to improve the quality of life of Andean native people and communities through community development projects.

It is a direct form of immersion in Andean communities. We assist with various projects and activities that we implement in coordination with members of various native agricultural communities in the central Peruvian Andes. It is a face-to-face way to experience and learn firsthand about the social, cultural, and economic situation of these populations (in a real way, far from tourist circuits and artificial situations ).

We address various problems and challenges related to internal migration, the socio-cultural adaptation of these people to a new environment, as well as understanding socio-political processes, in addition to other aspects such as health, nutrition, and the optimization of productive processes based on ancestral Andean organization and the use of their own resources to promote their own self-development and growth.

Our projects range from teaching and facilitating sustainable activities such as building eco-friendly stoves, improving living spaces, irrigation canals, and supporting agricultural activities.

We also offer numerous community talks on topics as varied as water purification, agricultural production, native foods, and animal care from an ecological and environmentally friendly perspective. We also provide emotional support to people who have suffered the consequences of political violence in past decades, female empowerment, self-improvement therapies, and more.
